Dagger departed Wakefield Trinity to sign a three-year deal with York Knights during the off-season, with the new number one eager to nail down the full-back shirt.

The Pontefract-born man has over 60 Betfred Super League appearances to his name during spells at Warrington Wolves, Hull KR and Wakefield, having debuted in the top-flight at the age of just 18.

Dagger was a stand-out performer for Trinity during the West Yorkshire club’s relegation to the second tier, scoring two tries, 29 goals and one drop-goal in 17 appearances.

Also capable of covering at half-back and wing, Dagger heads into his second stint with the Knights, having scored three tries in four appearances under Head Coach James Ford in 2018 as York captured the Betfred League One title.
