Lineham returned to York in the off-season after more than 10 years away from the North Yorkshire club.

The winger made his professional rugby league debut with York in 2009, going on to score 15 tries in 22 appearances and featuring in the side which won promotion from Betfred League One in 2010.

Lineham's form earned himself a Betfred Super League move with Hull FC in 2011, spending five seasons with the Black and Whites and racking up 68 appearances and 54 tries before Warrington Wolves came calling in 2016.

The ex-York College student would go on to win major silverware at Warrington through the 2016 League Leaders' Shield and 2019 Betfred Challenge Cup as well as reaching three other major finals: the 2016 and 2018 Betfred Super League Grand Finals and the 2018 Betfred Challenge Cup Final.

The ex-England Knights international arrives at the LNER Community Stadium following two seasons with Betfred Super League side Wakefield Trinity.
