1895 Cup Semi-Final date confirmed!

Details have been confirmed for the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Semi-Finals on Sunday June 6, when a trip to Wembley will be the prize on offer for four clubs from the Betfred Championship.

The action will kick off at the LNER Community Stadium at 2pm, when York City Knights host Swinton Lions.

Then at 4pm, attention switches to the Millennium Stadium, where Featherstone Rovers face Widnes Vikings.

Tickets for each game will go on sale shortly – and with demand expected to be high given the ongoing restrictions on capacity, the RFL is delighted to confirm that both will be streamed live and free on the RFL’s Our League web and app. The Knights will release ticketing details shortly once we have received SAG/SMC information.

Golden Point Extra Time will be played if either of the Semi-Finals is drawn after 80 minutes.

Mark Foster, the RFL’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “I know anticipation is high with players, supporters and officials of all four semi-finalists for the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup as they are 80 minutes away from a trip to Wembley.

“We are now only a couple of weeks away from the Semi-Finals, which will complete a fantastic weekend for the game as they follow the Betfred Challenge Cup Semi-Finals and the Betfred Women’s Challenge Cup Final on Saturday June 5.

“It’s great that fans will be able to attend these mouthwatering matches, and also that we can show the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup Semi-Finals free on Our League to a wider audience, as we did in the inaugural competition in 2019 when they attracted excellent streaming figures.

“With the growing membership of Our League, and the growing interest in the competition, we’re confident of beating those figures in 2021.”#WeAreYork⚔️
