York RLFC is delighted to bring back our popular “design a warm up top” competition for 2025!
Due to the success we've experienced over the past couple of years, we are once again giving local school children the opportunity to design a warm-up top.
This season, York RLFC is encouraging entrants to design a bespoke warm up top that is completely Superhero themed!
The winning design will be produced by our kit partners, O’Neill’s, and worn by the players during the warm-up before the Knights' important Betfred Championship match against Featherstone Rovers at the LNER Community Stadium on Sunday, June 29th.
The game is designated as the York RLFC Education Day - a tribute and thank you to the many schools, colleges and universities that continuously get involved with York RLFC and the York RLFC Foundation.
We are once again calling on local school children to get creative and have their school represented in our competition.
Last year we had over 500 entries received in the competition from more than 11 schools! In 2025 we are aiming to get even more entries!
This year, the winner will receive a free warm-up shirt in their design, a complimentary ticket to the game and get the opportunity to walk out with the players as a player mascot!
The limited-edition winning design will also be available to purchase via the Club Shop on the day of the game.
Our annual Education Day is a long-standing themed fixture to mark and celebrate our work with our Education Partners. The shirt design is a more recent addition to add to the celebration.
The York RLFC Foundation (registered charity 1112571) currently works with 44 primary schools, over a dozen secondary schools, colleges and Universities. On Education Day, we will also be inviting schools to play in a Primary Rugby League Festival, with details to be sent to all York Primary schools in the coming weeks. All in all, this should make for one of the highlights of the year, helping to introduce Rugby League to new audiences.
