York Knights utility back Myles Harrison is remaining at the club for a further year, thanks to the support of Squadbuilder!
Harrison came through at Heworth ARLFC before signing a professional deal with York in 2021.
The 21 year old impressed in his Knights debut in the Betfred Challenge Cup against Wigan Warriors that year, in one of three appearances.
His real break through came in 2023, when he made 24 appearances, scoring ten tries and 18 goals. In that season, he featured at centre, full-back and on the wing.
Harrison was limited to just nine appearances in 2024 because of a shoulder injury which ended his season in May and needed surgery, so he’ll be looking to break back in to the team in 2025 and secure a shirt.
Coach, Mark Applegarth said: "Myles is another young player that I’m delighted has committed to York.
"He’s a York lad through and through. Just the other night I got him to get up in front of the group and speak about how much this club means to him. He speaks really well and you can see how much he wants to succeed here.
"I’m looking forward to working with him. He had a bit of a rough time last year with shoulder surgery, but he’s done pre-season so far and he’s looking well.
"I know he’s played a variety of positions but I probably see him trying to get one of the centre spots nailed down. I’m not saying he can’t play elsewhere but he needs a set position he can focus on. I’m delighted we’ve got him for 2025."
