York RLFC are inviting you to join them on the return of Fish and Chip Friday to York St John University Sports Park (YO31 8TA) for the first time this year on Friday 28th March from 12.30pm!
Earlier this year, we announced that we had secured a new partnership with Tanglewood Care Homes, Millers Fish & Chips, and York St. John University to revive our popular Fish and Chip Friday gatherings. The new format will feature a monthly session held either at York Manor Care Home, owned by Tanglewood, or at York St. John University Sports Park on Haxby Road.
The social gathering invites members of the public to come together for our events with York St John whether a rugby league fan or not, in a friendly atmosphere for food, a cuppa and a chat!
The subsidised meal costs £6 per person for fish & chips and a drink, plus £1.50 for any sides (sides payable on the day)
Rachel French, Home Manager at York Manor Care Home, owned by Tanglewood, said:
“Together, we aim to make a positive and lasting impact on the well-being of our community. We are proud to offer a safe and inclusive hub where anyone who needs support or simply wishes to join us in bringing people closer together, can feel welcome.
York RLFC Foundation Inclusion Officer, Dawn Shore added:
“These are a great way for people who may feel lonely or isolated to come together with other York fans to share a chat, reminisce over past games, meet new people all while enjoying the excellent food provided by Millers Fish & Chips.’
