The business community of York and further afield has really bought into York City Knights’ Business Hub and this Thursday (1st July) the club is hosting the initiative’s first event.
Jon Dutton, Rugby League World Cup 2021’s Chief Executive, will be the key speaker. Dutton has an extensive career of working in sports administration and has high-profile event experience across a number of sports. He will outline the benefits of international sport on the business community as well as discussing the role York will play in this year’s tournament with several matches to be held at the LNER Community Stadium.
The Knights’ Chairman Jon Flatman, Head Coach James Ford and player Adam Cuthbertson will also be participating in the event which, due to current Covid-19 regulations, will be held over Zoom. It is expected that further events will take place in person in the coming months.
Each member of the Knights’ Business Hub gets a range of benefits, including networking events. Every business will receive a framed, signed Knights shirt to display at their company premises, two seats in hospitality for a Knights home match at the LNER Community Stadium as well as an announcement on the club’s social media platforms and presence on a dedicated Business Hub page on the club website, yorkcityknights.com.
