York RLFC Foundation is delighted to confirm our latest School Holiday programme, with more sessions taking place across York!

York RLFC Foundation School Holiday programme plays a crucial role in our local community by offering children enjoyable, active, and free sessions, inspiring the next generation of York Knights and York Valkyrie stars.

In 2024, the York RLFC Foundation organised more than 100 sessions across dozens of venues with over 2500 children attending. We are looking to emulate this in 2025! We regularly update this page with news of our latest sessions.

Our events are typically catered for children aged 5 to 13 and were all open-access, free-to-attend with no pre-booking required. Our extended thanks to our partner Simon Baynes Wholesale for supplying the fruit for our holiday sessions.

For any organisation wishing to book our services for future holiday activity, please contact a.prentis@yorkrlfc.com

Holiday Activities with Food, (HAF) Programme – important information

The Holiday Activities Website allows families using the code received from your child’s school to book on a wide range of providers including York RLFC Foundation.

Any child who is eligible for (means tested) free school meals, can book on one of our HAF session(s) and reserve a place through the Holiday Activities webpage. Families who are eligible should receive a code through school, if you believe you are eligible but don’t receive a code please speak to your school or use the contact details on the HAF website in order to request the code.

· By using the pre-booking system, we are able to evidence and demonstrate the need for such sessions to continue in the future. For those families wishing to request a free prepacked meal at any of our sessions, we ask you book onto the session at least 3 working days prior to the session to have a meal ready for you to collect at the session.

· Please note there a limited number of HAF places available at each session.

· To guarantee a meal, parents must book through HAF should their child require a meal.

Families and children who are not eligible for free school meals do not need to book on this system, however, priority for places will be given to those who are eligible in line with the funding we have received.

Please can we ask all children to attend wearing suitable sports clothing and avoid wearing jewellery.

Should you have any questions, please email info@yorkrlfc.com or call 01904 670 880 and ask for the Foundation.
