One of the most skilful players in the Valkyrie squad, Rihari took over the captaincy role in 2024, in the absence of Sinead Peach and Tara-Jane Stanley.

The former New Zealand Touch Rugby International represented Queanbeyan Blues and Mackay Brothers before moving to the UK, initially with Huddersfield Giants.

Rihari won the Player of the Match award as Huddersfield beat Featherstone Rovers 24-22 to win the Betfred Women’s Super League Shield in 2021.

A stint at Salford Red Devils followed, as the North West club won promotion from the Women’s Championship with 14 wins from 15 matches, before Rihari signed for York in 2023.
