The longest-serving player in the York squad, Hyde first joined York Ladies in 2012.

The winger has seen plenty of change in the meantime and been part of the Valkyrie’s capture of a maiden Grand Final in 2023 and the record successive League Leaders’ Shields in 2022 and 2023.

Hyde caught the national headlines in 2021 when returning to the playing field just seven weeks after giving birth to her son Finlay.

She was ruled out of the 2024 season after suffering an ACL injury, and is still on the road to a come back.

A valued member of the rugby league community in York, Hyde’s sister Robyn plays for York RLFC’s LDRL side.
